1941 Map of Amherst, Mass.

So here's my first BeDe card for the first blog dedicated to BeDeCards. I made this in 2005. "FAC" means Fine Arts Center. What was Massachusetts State College in 1941 was renamed as the University of Massachusetts around 1950. Lincoln Avenue used to proceed right through the campus.

Life in the World of BeDe

Life in the BeDe World is one of chaos and order. The chaos is evident in the piles of this and that - from found scraps (OK , yes, some call it trash) to cherished memorabilia - that surround my work space, waiting to be BeDe-ized. Order comes from the experience of pulling a disparate cluster of items together into one 4 X 6 BeDe that makes sense (at least in my eyes). An example of one of my recent "just for fun" BeDe creations may help to give you some idea of where the experience is apt to take me on any given day. This BeDe is still "in progress" because it does not yet have the rounded corners and the European spaced, 2 holes, which are both requisite to being an "official" BeDe Card.
